Community Involvement -
Client and Community Involvement are essential to the outcome of a project. We have conducted community meetings in many different venues. The Ak-Chin Community Meetings were held in a festive type atmosphere, with the community placing their “wants and wishes” on a plan illustrating the site.
The Catlin Court Alleyways Meetings were conducted at the Glendale City Hall with food provided by the various vendors located within the project site. The 32nd Street Pedestrian Study Project contained a predominantly Hispanic population, whose public meetings were held at the Saint Mark’s Catholic Church. There, we conducted our survey in both Spanish and English.
Sherman Group’s bi-lingual capabilities have aided a myriad of projects to move through the planning process. We have found that a relaxed atmosphere with hands on participation by the client and stakeholders gives us the information we need to create a product that is aesthetically pleasing, user friendly and appealing to all.
